Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism – Video Explanations
Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism are not one in the same. One is a brain disease for which the first step in treatment and recovery is total abstinence forever, and the other is a drinking pattern that can potentially be changed.
Sometimes a different media helps a person “hear” the same message differently than the way they’ve heard it before.
To that end, I’d like to share two short, 10-minute videos to help readers better understand alcohol abuse and alcoholism — how they differ and what they share in common.
Please share information sources that have worked for you. Just as there is no one-right-way to change one’s alcohol use patterns or treat their alcoholism, so too is there no one-right-way to deliver this important information.
Hi There Lisa,
Thanks you for your post, Collecting rent is one of those situations where I have to use some rules of thumb, some feeling, some gut to try to figure out whether it’s time to go and do the eviction or do we try to work with the tenant and see if they can get caught up. Maybe it’s a temporary problem. We can do a weekly or monthly payment plan and maybe we can get them back on paying again.
Cheers
